With project support from the Clinton Foundation, the city of Houston is working with contractors Siemens and Schneider TAC to retrofit its entire portfolio of buildings by 2014. This project will reduce the cityÕs overall energy use by more than 30 percent and save millions of dollars per year in utility and maintenance costs.

ChicagoÕs iconic Daley Center is undergoing a retrofit that will reduce the buildingÕs carbon footprint by more than 2,500 metric tons per year. In addition to lighting retrofits, the HVAC controllers and pumps have been replaced reducing the overall energy consumption by T percent.
