Born in Atlanta // Grown in NYC // Chief Photographer of the White House:
Adam Schultz was born in Atlanta, Georgia, where he grew up as a native downtown Atlantan, went to Atlanta Public Schools Communications Magnet programs in both video news production and still photography, and went on to get Bachelor’s degrees in both Economics and Spanish at Georgia State University. Later, he went to work at the Clinton Foundation in New York, where he pioneered the in-house position handling all forms of legacy multimedia, while simultaneously carving out a niche where he became the staff photographer and videographer to President Clinton. In 2015 and 2016, he worked closely with Barbara Kinney to document Hillary Clinton’s 2016 Presidential bid having achieved the trust of the Clintons themselves and their inner circle. After mounting a successful freelance photography business in the years between, Schultz once again stepped up to the plate to document Joe Biden’s run for the Presidency; an exciting and grueling start to what became one of the most unique eras in history. With Biden’s successful campaign, Schultz was there the whole way through, documenting the aftermath of the COVID-19 pandemic, the rocky transition of power, the standing up of the White House during the pandemic, the reconstruction afterwards, and ultimately one of the most successful presidencies in American history. With a lens on Biden the whole way, Schultz meticulously documented all of the day-to-day meetings, events, trips, and unbelievable experiences along the way.
